mom: come help me turn this on (referring to my ipod & ipod stereo dock)
me: ok no problem! hold on
-- five minutes -- ... (clearly I had forgotten)
mom: please, come help me! I'm machine illiterate
me: ok.. let me save this document really quickly, I'll come right now
mom: ok, come as soon as you can. you know technology illiterate people like me…… we get especially scared when we see this apple sign.
me: ..... really?
mom: yeah.. It means it's expensive.

Without one....
I cannot eat chips with one hand without getting my laptop keyboard dirty.
I cannot photoshop precisely
Playing games like l4d2 is a futile attempt
Most importantly! !!
there is no glowing aura around the mouse that acts as a calming night light when my laptop AND I go to sleep (pun intended)

The sky must be falling!
Jukebox: Pocketful of Sunshine-Natasha Bedingfield
why? Gas is $3.89 a gallon. Not premium either >=O
Navigating my golden box-on-wheels has become a tremendously pricey task.
Times recently featured an article on biodiesel made from cow fat used to power the Amtrak. Could they do this for regular automobiles?! Come on engineers of America!!!
On second, thought... this would be beefy business huh? haha.. uh... ok not funny -__-
However aside from gas prices, today was a triumphant driving day for the following reasons.
I...
In related news.... after many years of living in my hometown, I have somehow disinterred the approximate locations and times of where police and pseudo police cars (with tinted windows and no officer inside) hide. I don't want to jinx myself, but generally, I'm accurate 87.38% of the time. I'd gladly map it out like that hilarious Youtube comedian who mapped out the Astroblasters ride at Disneyland, however... I'm pretty sure this is semi-shady business.
Nevertheless... it's a nice knowledge to keep in handy. Especially like today, when I woke up at 7:50 and work begins at 8 :X
(I'm generally a hopeless chicken when it comes to speeding.)

However aside from gas prices, today was a triumphant driving day for the following reasons.
I...
- decided to slow down three seconds before a police car pulled out of an alley.
- was stuck behind two slow sedans and a pickup truck (offwhite with a ladder in the back.. those are always the slooowwest) for less then three seconds when they all decided to change lanes simultaneously. I felt like Bruce in the Bruce Almighty's, Traffic Jam Scene @ 0:29
- only had to honk six times today.
- encountered green lights all the way to work.
- had un-overlapping commercial breaks on KIIS vs. AMP.
- listened to Britney Spears interview on KIIS this morning.
- loll joking about #3 ... and maybe #6 ?!?! :X

Kettle Me Happy
Jukebox: Annie Waits - Ben Folds
You know those moments when you realize "OH CRAP I'M LATE!", but thankfully whatever you have to do doesn't require much prep beforehand such as:
rushing a package to a post office before it closes,
returning a book to a library on the day it's due,
picking up your sibling from school.....
And in these moments when attire or facade doesn't take precedence.. you take ONLY what you need.
rewind to last night when I suddenly realized I had to pick up my sister.
I grabbed my necessities in a whim and trudged my way to the garage when I heard my mom exclaim behind me."why are you bringing that?"
to my own surprise, I realized that aside from my keys and wallets dangling from my right,
I had conveniently grabbed this in my left hand... arm...
goes to show what's a "necessity" in my life.... -__-
On the topic of food... this is my most current discovery/obsession.
Oh Taiwanese Styled Taro Slushi ... where have you been the past two decades of my life?
Believe it or not, I had this for the first time exactly one week ago. Yum.

Congrats for reading this boring post
Horray for leadership in this country! Without president's, I would not be able to stay at home today to relax and pig out.
Speaking of food...
Is it just me or has anyone ever felt foolish reading packagings that say "CONGRATS for choosing this food product" ? Kind of like the labeling printed on this bag of beef jerky I'm currently eating:
Whenever I see something like this, I feel like I'm suppose to experience some grand sense of accomplishment after I consume it. Unfortunately, my intuitions usually deem false.
Wouldn't be really funny if schools sent acceptance letters printed on products? Like you would recieve a bag of potato chips from so and so university and probably have an inital reaction of "Wth?!"
Then while perusing through the ingredients on the back you'd spot the label on it...
That would be pretty spiffy eh?

CONGRATULATION! We are pleased to say you have been accepted to blah blah blah University! Please open this bag of chips to taste your glory. You will also find more information inside the bag (kind of like those mini coupons and toys you find inside the cereal box).
That would be pretty spiffy eh?

It's Raining Men! is a culprit
Jukebox: Wamdue Project feat. Jonathan Mendelsohn - Forgiveness (Electro Funk Mix)
I had this brilliant idea back in highschool where I would tape my AP notes outside of my clear shower door to study when I showered. I’d often spend several minutes scrutinizing the alignment of my notepapers... ONLY to realize AFTER I showered, that I had forgotten to read them...
and instead had spent the entire time pondering other jovial matters. Lol. Total Fail.
But I realize now that this is a good thing!
As I stood in the shower last night, it occurred to me that the majority of my blog entries are conjured while showering.
You know when people like being in a specific place to think, whether it be a closet, a favorite place on the patio, on the toilet (jkk), the gym? Well... I guess for me, my SHOWER TUB IS MY PENSIVE SANCTUARY.
While my eyes remain too blind to read the intriguing contents on the backs of shampoo bottles and my face gets pampered from the shower steam (since scalding hot water is THE WAY to go)... my mind runs free for those 10-15 minutes.
No, my bathroom is not filled with candles, luxurious bath soaps and frills… but I do think the environment itself is a large contributing factor. I come from a loquacious household ... hence my extremely expandable vocal cords. The only time I really have peace and quiet, a rightful reason to ignore all telephones and duties is when I shower.
As the serene watery surrounding envelopes me into a blurry world, I generally end up reflecting my day, musing over happenings, or contemplating on how to bring about peace on earth ;)....henceforth, conjuring up a topic I'd like to share later through the forum of my blog.
I have to say this method is actually fairly efficient as it involves multitasking and also a (hopefully effective) process of screening. If a blogging idea deems boring, I’d relinquish it to the reality of my daily tasks as I step out of the shower stall. If an idea seems entertaining enough for “entry status”, I’d type it out soon after showering (in reference to the fun foggy scribbles I’d jotted down on the mirrors of the bathroom earlier.)
So this is my excuse for the lack of entries.
I simply haven’t been showering enough.

A Yellow Expensive Car
Jukebox: La Roux- I'm Not Your Toy
So there are two things prevalent in our modern world that I really am not keen on due to a combination of ignorance and disinterest.
One is football, the other is cars.
Don't get me wrong, I think automobiles are impressively functional machines. But when it comes to horsepower? transmission? brands? That's another clueless story of mine.
I know there can't be knockoff cars like knockoff purses, but in all honesty, a perfectly shiny and new "low-ended" car looks just as appealing to me as a gorgeous shiny "high-ended" car.
This is why, when I saw the following vehicle as I was getting gas the other day, the first thing that went through my head was
"oooooo... pretty, shiny, yellow car!"
=D
In middleschool English, I've learned that various contextual clues can aid in defining an unknown word, or the "status" of a particular vehicle in this case.
So in this instance, the clues that were presented to me include:
1. The three exhaust pipes all symmetrically aligned in the middle.
2. A man walking past me going into the store whipping out his iphone to snap a picture...
3. Another man hollering, "SWEET RIDE" as he pulls out of the gas station.
these facts confirm my suspicions that it indeed is a pretty, yellow, and expensive car.
So what's the next step? Of course, it would be to make a conjecture about the driver.
The following possibilities came up: a bad@$$ mafia member, elite socialite, wealthy buisnessman, a racecar guru.
Drum rolls in my mind as the driver's door swivels out....
and out steps this scrawny kid...
LOL. howw??

Four LOL words of wisdom
sis: yeah.. so the song ends with "dead and gone.. dead and gone" (referring to: T.I.-Dead and Gone )
mom: oh really? I don't know that song. But I have seen um... "The Wind is Gone"
sis: ... ?
- 10 seconds later -
sis: Ohhhh you mean, Gone with the Wind!

Although this already made a debut on my facebook, I decided to reserve a righteous spot on my blog as well, commemorating the completion day of my sister and my McDonald Kid's meal Sanrio watch collection quest.

cheesy vid says it all.
Under Pressure- Queen and David Bowie
Let the title and the screenshot at 0:10 speak for itself. Work never ceases!!! But then... without it.. I think life would also be awfully monotonous. Nevertheless, 1.5 months left before I can genuinely go have some fun. Back to the music...quite an amusing-ly cheesy video. no?
Ok due to the "high presshaa" going on, I think it is imperative I bring some comic relief.
Presenting to you... the wraths of what my major has brought upon me...
The following conversation is in reference to the numerous amount of bio flashcards I was aiming to go through before bedtime.
me: think ill be able to do it?
by tonight?
Alb i dunno
me: (it's not too hard honestly)
Alb: you're the psycho biologist
me:... do u mean
Psychobiologist
or
Psycho Biologist ?
Alb: the space makes all the difference
it's up to you to interpret
me: LOLLLL
Alb: :)
PS: I ended up not finishing them -___- what a bummmerrr. I guess I am the latter then.
PPS: The beat of Under Pressure is very similar to Vanilla Ice's ICEE ICEE BABY... as brilliantly discovered by my friend... and a few thousand other ppl on youtube. * grin *
PPPS: I HAVE PANNED another 3 things!! woopee! I really want to do a beauty entry soon! I think it's interesting how this blog started out intending to be mainly a beauty blog.. then it evolved to food .. now its just my ole' ramblings. So basically.. from entries that take most time... to the shortest. how sad. I must... formalize... againnn...

A Music "Brake" (no pun intended)
Jukebox: Why - Philip Larue
Another Great Song is "Here We Go" by Joshua Radin... I couldn't find the album version on youtube even though I actually have his CD. But check out the live version here though:
I absolutely love guitar acoustics. I think I took after my mom in terms of music taste.
so, speaking of mothers...
When your mother gives you a suggestion and asks you whether or not something is a good idea.
you should usually acquiesce to her wishes
because more often than not,
the question is an implied demand.
mom: here's sweet tea! do you want to add creamers into it?
me: yay thank you! ummm... I don't really like that combo, I guess it's fine.
mom: are you sure?! It makes the tea taste like boba milk tea
me: yah.. I know... but I like just the regular tea flavor better.
mom: are you sure? because drinking too much tea can decrease ur iron level (all the whiles ripping the paper covers off the first creamer)
me: ma, I really don't like the creamers
mom: why don't u listen to my suggestions. its healthy!! there's calcium
me: mom.. but it's just creamer not milk
mom: doesn't matter, it will make it taste a lot better.. and it's better then just the tea
me: :: beginning to sense her anger::
mom: OK, so do you want the creamers or not.
me: wait.. ok, put in the creamers
mom: *happy happy* opens the creamers and dumps in sweet tea*
-_______-
In other news:
here is my ghetto-fied method of reminding myself that I have the physical brakes on.
Clever no?

I can finally get a fuller night's rest... but then it all starts again tomorrow.
Jukebox: Nelly- Just a Dream
So I've been evading this type of entry for a loooonggg time... because this writing style was what eventually manifested in my previous/old blog for several years... I didn't like the lack of structure... yet writing this way gives me a pleasantly jocular way of expressing my uncohesive thoughts thoroughly without transitions. but i figured at this late hour and worn out state where concepts takes precedence over grammar. I can give formality a kick in ze tush... therefore please be prepared for some classic geener ramble.
please buckle your seatbelts. levity and turbulence will be guaranteed
ONE. please tell me, how in this world would a 20 some year old be SO excited about watching a young youtube celeb on Amazing Race? I feel quite lame. BUT. WHATEVAAA KEVJUMBA IN THE AMAZING RACE FTW!
I think it must be an exhilarating experience for his dad to travel around the world with his son and "compete with young'ins" at 58. I'm rooting for both both father+child teams. I hope they get to the top.
don't they look so determined?
so cute.
did I just take time go re-find the clip, find the scene, screenshot, crop and upload it on my public blog?
yes you did gina
fml.
ONWARD
THREE. this cutest kid dressed in a ketchup bottle came to trick-or-treat last night. My Goodness! A ketchup bottle. I asked him. "Did they have a mustard one too?"
and he stared at me widely with his watery-doe-y seven year old eyes
"Huh?!"
"nvm, here's more candy HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!" ::slam::
jk about the slam.
sometimes I forget that my humor is obsolete
but I have reason behind my question. I am an avid yellow mustard eater. I can use it as a dip for anything. seriously.
FOUR. So being an avid blog reader and I use Google reader religiously on a daily basis. For a while, I was at an equilibrium where I'd go on each time periodically to find about 3-4 new entries.
then it became 10-20
then it became 20-30
happy snappy
Then I added a few tech blogs because mine were more beauty oriented. And BOY YOU TECHY's HAVE A LOT OF TIME! Because whenever I go on now... I have like 234 more to read. wth!
Lately i think i've gotten to the point where I've been inundated by un-read entries. and it becomes a slightly laborious task scan through all of them. The feeling is tantamount to unread emails... except maybe a little bit less. I think i've given up on catching up as I have 437 unread right now.
Tech News Daily.... you are more like Tech News 35 Daily.
FIVE. I am pretty pissed because I spent a good $1.75 on cotton balls at Rite Aid Last friday.. and I opened the brand new package to find the cotton balls smelling musty and slightly SOUR. like... wth. And I can't exactly return it.. I'll probably sound like an idiot.
"hi sir, I'd like to return this bag of cotton balls"
"um.. suree? but you opened it, what's the problem"
"they smell sour"
"what?... no."
... if this happens, i will then proceed to thrust the open bag close enough to the person so they can get a nice whift.
then I'll probably get my money back. plus some.
OK. somewhere that sells good cotton balls is CVS. Get their jumbo pack, I rip them into twos and flatten it out each time I use them to apply Toner.
I just realized I use cotton balls for two and only two things.
1. Toner application
2. Nailpolish remover
ok what? that totally did not make sense lol. ok, I need to sleep.. my delirium is affecting my writing abilities (as if I had any in the first place *ahem*)
so hope ya'll enjoyed the late night rambling of a sleepy yet indolent soul.
peace!
thanks chance.

... if this happens, i will then proceed to thrust the open bag close enough to the person so they can get a nice whift.
then I'll probably get my money back. plus some.
OK. somewhere that sells good cotton balls is CVS. Get their jumbo pack, I rip them into twos and flatten it out each time I use them to apply Toner.
I just realized I use cotton balls for two and only two things.
1. Toner application
2. Nailpolish remover
ok what? that totally did not make sense lol. ok, I need to sleep.. my delirium is affecting my writing abilities (as if I had any in the first place *ahem*)
so hope ya'll enjoyed the late night rambling of a sleepy yet indolent soul.
peace!

Maybe this is why I cannot hear through my headphones!
Jukebox: Yesterday- Leona Lewis

My friend always manages to screenshot my oddest moments as I webcam -___- LOLOL. Anyway, another sleepless night has gone by as I surrender my precious time to memorizing whimsical information that really is not pertinent to my future. Such include the pillars to "success" (with definite quotes) etc etc.. none of which that pique my interest. Memorization is a skill that needs to be honed but differently depending on the individual. After six years.. it's about time I master my own techniques that fit my needs. Ya. What a painful night of cram... although I have encountered worse. I think my skills just needed to be sharpened again. Although this all could have been avoided if I had not put precedence on good company. But I do not regret my decision. I had a great time, plain and simple. On a completely different note, according to to two of my closest friends... I have a distinctive way of expressing my emotional state as "OK" when I'm actually not... usually I become extremely quirky and hyper... unconsciously hoping that the state of "ditz" can obscure my frustrations. And it's funny... how I actually captured that on camera this time in my private blog with just my best friends. I shall scrutinize my apparent convalescing manners after class tonight... perhaps I shall change my stress coping methodology.

i screamed for icecream at 10 AM.
it's almost 10 am right now and guess what im eating, JUST GUESS.
MOCHA ALMOND FUDGE BABYYYYY YAYUH!
Today is my free day. FINALLLYYYYYY... I still need to get a bunch of errands/ studying done though, so I shall be out of the house within 2 hours!
However, I celebrated the start of today with a big fat mocha almond fudge cone for breakfast.
I made sure to pack a lot of icecream inside the cone.
Don't it suck when you eat a icecream cone... and then you get to the bottom, and its just... cone? No substance. blah.
Anyway, this wasn't really a spur of the moment hhing.... as I already touched upon the matter during my unconscious state haha.
IN MY DREAM, I woke up, and went to the fridge to get out the icecream. Then I open the cabinets, but I couldn't find the cone. Then I woke up in a state of disbelief that the cones were missing and had this huge urge to double check to see if they really WERE gone.
And they weren't. I felt triumphant.
claws a chippin... time to change a color. Perhaps brown to welcome the onset of September?

FMLOLOL. flyswatters, apple shavers, all you can eat buffet style
This song is HILARIOUS.
Anyway, after writing 8500 characters for an essay that is limited to 4500, I created a new word:
FMLOLOL (eff-em-el-oh-el-oh-ha ha) Noun, Verb, Adj. used when something is according to andy, "so shitty (and stupid) you can only laugh"
Real Life Examples: " I tried stapling a 41pg packet, super duper fail, not just regular fail, but epic monumental fail --- FMLOLOL."
Needless to say, my FMLOLOL moment was an accumulation of over two weeks worth of work. Thanks everyone, I know I'm meticulous.
In other news: I honestly think Asians are the most innovative people out there. In addition to this already amazing "apple shaver"..... 3:57 apple shaver. go..
You didn't click. >:O For you lazy butts, I've screen-shotted the image for your viewing pleasure. Look at this gorgeous thanggg... I think my jaw dropped when I saw it in action.
You know what else was jaw dropping? An amazing japanese gadget I found in my VERY OWN HOUSE today.
Look at this:

| An apple shaver that looks like those pencil sharpeners! |
Look at this:
now back at me. now look back at this. do you think this is a flyswatter? if you think so, you are absolutely....
RIGHT. But this is not not JUST an average flyswatter. Look away.
Now back at this:
Do you know what this is? It's something you wish you had, but you don't... something you could only dream of having. You know why? because it is the craziest flyswatter handle you will have ever seen. Why? Look away.
Now back again:
THIS is sanitation, this is LOVE. this is....
AN EMBEDDED FLYPICKER UPPER for after you swat those nasty flies.
doOoo doOo Doododoo... old spice.
mmmmmm... :) excuse my nails, I need to lacquer up. hrmmm what color shall I choose next?
