Keeping my sugars high but guilt low.

School stress, studying, social life and impending deadlines are recipes for breakouts.  Intermix that with my everlasting taste for sweets.   Tis the season.  I'm sad to say my skin has recently been in a somewhat loosing battle.  So I'm starting to take action not just topically, but regulating my intakes as well. Here are a mashup of fast ways I try to curb my sweet tooth with skin health(ier) foods.  I am a extremely lazy person in terms of food preparation. IE. I will refuse to whip up a healthy delicious shake  because I don't want to spend the time taking out the frozen fruit, blending them and then spend 3 minutes cleaning the blender... so terrible.

- Vitamins. vitamin C. gummy vites. I look forward to taking them each day like 'candy', obviously the recommended dosage per day.
- Hot green tea with honey (with lemon?) instead of hot chocolate or coffee.
- Frozen grapes taste like frozen juice pops
- Citrus. This may be biased but I absolutely love oranges and orange juice.  These can curb my juice cravings.
- Thought process on buying that expensive basket of strawberries.   Is 3 dollars worth it?  Now think, are 3 dollars worth of dryers peppermint limited edition ice cream worth it? (AUGHHH MIND DILEMMA) Choose the berries.
- Organic unsweetened apple sauce and sweeten them with honey. Add a dash of cinnamon for extra flavoring.
- Fruit Yogurt on toasted bagels instead of cream cheese or jam.
- Use mint to "freshen" up your drinks instead of relying on carbonation.  ie. Lemons, Mint leaves and Honey makes a delicious cold drink.

Basically, I revolve around fruit and using honey as a sugar substitute. These may or may not be the "right way" persay. But  it keeps my taste buds satisfied and my senses guilt free. I am always down to new ideas so let me know if any of you have skin healthy ways of curbing your sweet tooth as well!

ahha.. admist my packing I found this pack of "Collagen Crystal Eye Bag Mask" that I obtained as a gwp when I bought my first pair of circle lenses during the days of my college yore.

upon quick inspection, I noticed this (no brand) eye mask riddled with spelling errors "press mask with frigertips"  and nonsensical statements "Modes eye sritounding skin soft".

hrmm..sounds fishy and I probably shouldn't try it out on my skin.

but naturally, despite my better instinct, I gave in to my curiosities of this whimsical package of magic.

success! my skin does not seem to be reacting to it ... yet. hopefully my undereye is enjoying this little jelly pampering too.

lucky lucky. I need to stop taking chances with my skin.  I blame Taiwan this time... it has brainwashed me into another facemasking phase.

Review: Elf Nude Polishes & Spring Shebang

But hey! I don't party, drink, or do anything crazy.. the most I do is secretly model my nails after the colors of the rainbow.. lest this be the reprimand I constantly receive... especially now that I am living at home. :/  I feel quite rebellious ...  hopefully I'll grow out of it by fall ;)

Today I received a compliment from boy.  He said "hey! I like your nails" Wow.. I was in shock... not because it was a boy, not because my nails were even that pretty. It was because he was a whopping five year old kid!  Awww how commendable!  He's gonna grow to be one heck of a heart throbber by the year 2026... with a dashing name too... Raaaamonnn.  I made sure to reward him with a sticker.

All crazy colors aside, let's review some of the more "calmer" polish styles I've sported lately:

DESERT HAZE by E.L.F. The perfect nudy gray color appropriate for work and interviews.  Smooth consistency, opaque after 1 coat. Perfect for light and darker skin tones  Mine lasted a whole 4 days without chip when I didn't use a top or base coat. Best of all, $1. Elf winsss

INNOCENT by E.L.F. A pale baby pink hue. No Shimmer.  Can be a bit too bright for tanner skin tones. A bit more streaky then the Desert Haze composition and needs more then two coats to become solid. I give it an "OK"

I'll end with another kid story since thats basically what my life is consisted of now.  The silliest thing.  One of the fifth graders said that they ABSOLUTELY cannot wait until they are 18.  Why? Because of the Three C's.

College, Car, Coffee

Youngin, youngin you have much to learn. Yes these three are all pretty awesome... in certain context.  College is amazing, but fifth grade is definitely not too shabby either (stress-level wise).  Cars are fun to drive until you actually need to drive it daily. And coffee? I associate it with 'procrastination induced painful allnighters'....unless you are talking about my Java Chip Frapp.  In that case...you can have a sip.  No need to wait a decade.

Skincare Rambles...

I woke up this morning to find this sad sight:

This is result of my helpless acquiescence to my circadium rhythmn.

In my haste to knock out in my comfy bed, I had unknowingly knocked over my Za moisturizer on my bedstand and lost a good whopping amount. :(

Za is a brand linked to Shiseido, but most of the Za line products are based in Asia... I bought this (Dewy Effect Emulsion) during my last visit to Taiwan. Therefore, replacement will be a pit.

Admist my search to find another moisturizer online, I got sucked into another skincare product frenzy. Working with young students these past few months has caused me to be unrealistically critical of my own skin. Seriously, young children DO have porcelin, poreless skin! Scars aside, I wanted to make sure the overall quality of my skin is preserved... perhaps then my jealousy can be lessened. :P After much research and review reading, the following products seem most coveted in terms of evening hyperpigmentation and wrinkle prevention. (links to MUA review site)

• Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Clear Skin Cream
• Afirm 3x by Medicis
• Advanced Skin Technologies- Green Cream
• Alpha Hydrox souffle

Specifically, I was looking for a products that contain a bit amount of Retinol for plumping up the skin in long term usages, AHA for skin rejuvenation, Vitamin C for scar lightening and soothing properties like Green Tea and Aloe.

I was just about to click purchase with one of the above products when I suddenly decided I'd first FINISH using some products I currently own. So here it is, my official declaration that I, Gina will begin a consistent nightly bio oil regimen to see if it helps with improving skin quality and tone. If I don't see improvement after the bottle is finished... then I'll purchase one of the listed items.

Plans: Use 1 drop each night mixed with moisturizer and 1 extra drop on hyperpigmented areas.

"Hopefully" positive results will be shared in a few months time!

Side note: After listening to this song 10+ times while reading the youtube comments, I have thoroughly given up on deciphering which language it is. perhaps others can figure it out? warning though, the song is extremely cheeeesy at parts. lol

A beauty fad that has been popular this past year is the "magic" fringe holder that keeps your hair in place, after simply slapping it on your head.  Technically speaking, it's a piece of velcro (the spiky side) which grips your hair in place in lieu of a regular hair clip.  Surprisingly, the hold is pretty dang strong, and is a reliable alternative to headbands when washing your face, studying etc.   The best thing about it is that it is extremely lightweight, I can barely feel it.  Good-because it won't crimp your hair. Bad- because your likely to forget. Therefore, if your living in a dorm, and that someone you've been crushin on comes knockin at ur door, you don't want to look dumb, with a piece of fluorescent felt on your head.  That's  also why I opted for the black color when I purchased one during my last trip to Taiwan. (just joking! )

There are myriad reviews of these products all over the web, so I won't scrutinize the details.  However, I did notice that there haven't been comparisons between the two more "popular brands".  Ergo... here is my humble opinion of these two fringe-holders.

1. Dariya

• Perk: Lightweight and versatile.
• Perk: You can roll it up with the spikeys facing outwards and then use it as a pseudo "hair roller" for your bangs"
• Perk: Bigger "surface area" for holding.
• Perk: Very good 'hold'
• Blah: mm... can't think of any 

2. Kamipita

• Perk:  Looks "cute" with the bow on the back.
• Blah: Heavier (due to the decorated backing) 
• Blah: Not as bendable... and overall doesn't hold as welll.

Clearly... Dariya wins by a handful.

So in conclusion, if you want to get a good useful piece of hairvelcro, I'd highly recommend getting Dariya, Kamipita is a pretty big waste of money... despite the cute exterior, it doesn't complete its deed as efficiently. 

... or you could just go to the crafts store to buy a velcro kit to cut yourself.

Hrmm... The collaboration works of these two designers are interesting is for all I can say. I don't know how I would feel staring down at my feet to find them staring back at me.  Delfina Delettrez is known for her gothic tone in her jewerly collections, hence the intricate yet creepy fist on the pumps.

Nude and gray.

Is it bad that the first thing I noticed on my interviewer's hand is her nailpolish. And that I knew the color... and brand?

"Over the Taupe- Opi"

I've been into nudes for a while, but with the descending winter weather... my inclinations  are towards the gray toned ones. These two will be on my next buy list:
Metro Chic from Sephora by OPI
Channelesque from China Glaze

... actually in juxtaposition, these look somewhat identical. haha

I also really like Pelican Gray from China Glaze, but I don't think it will look good people with tones around or darker then NC40... aka me.  I don't know about others, but some milky-light varnishes end up looking extremely "flourescent-y" on my hands since my skin is tanner.

So back to nude talk. In my quest to appear less conspicuous in terms of nail color, the one I'm sporting at the moment is Cafe Vienna #475A by Wet n Wild (Crystalic Line).  Despite the drug-store-y brand, it is a gorgeous color. A beigy-nude color, a bit milky, and then there is microflecks of gold shimmer in it. The sheen is very subtle though, so it still looks somewhat creamy. The only thing I would complain about it is that it get's a bit streaky if applied in a rush. That, and I believe it's discontinued.... (and this part is sort of embarrassing) but I'm pretty sure I've had it since high school.

A check on makeup alley confirms my suspicions.

"Cafe Vienna" #475A. Amazing reviews, yet all dated from 2002-2003 -___-. It's hard to believe that babies born after the time I obtained this nailpolish can add, subtract, and comprehend this blog entry. omga.

All About Eyes

I wasn't blessed with clear skin at all (Stress + Junk food = EASY BREAKOUTS) however luckily, being  young, asian and monolidded, I THINK my eyes have been able to withstand the scorching California sun for a while without crinkling at the corners... at least for now ::knock on wood:: 

This doesn't mean that I can escape from the wraths of eye maintenance however... if I don't get enough sleep for a few days.. I will easily form dark circles.  Therefore, this will be an entry.. "all about eyes"  Paradoxically, eyes are "windows to your soul" despite the fact that they age easily since since the skin around it is delicate. By no means am I an expert... but I think I'll just share some tips on what I do to maintain my eyes ... or specifically speaking, the skin around it. 

Wrinkle avoidance.

1. I avoid waterproof eyemakeup if I do wear eyemakeup... harder to take off in my opinion.
2. I avoid eyeliner... partially because it doesn't show up anyway with my eyeshape and partially because I feel that shadow is easier to wash off.. aka.. less tugging.
3. lame pencil eyeliners can be a pain to apply.. invest in a good smooth liner. Urban Decay. 24/7 (B) is an alltime favorite amongst my friends. I recently discovered  that Tarte emphasEYES (A)  is also pretty good as well.  Both have an extremely smooth formula.. and fairly water resistant, without being too difficult to move.  The downside of Tarte emphasyes is that it is a clicky twist.. so don't twist out too much or else you will end up wasting product.My best friend uses mac fluid line. Application with a angled brush is always better in terms of less tugging.  If it's drying up... DUMP IT. Although I preach, I don't necessarily practice.  Ergo...in my case... one pencil can last several years... costworthy! but yeah i know gross. :)
4. totally un-related to eyes... but many people tend to wrinkle their brows/forehead when putting on makeup. Try to train yourself not to do so.
5. Use a cleansing OIL to remove makeup. The oil is much smoother for removal, so you don't constantly stretch your eyes when tugging. I tend to stay away from cold creams because you have to tissue it off... more tugging. (More Recommendations below)
6. I try to avoid falsies because I haven't mastered taking them off without stretch. My close friends can do that well..which I envy.
7. use eyecream (?)
8. Sunglasses can be another "SPF" barrier for the skin around your eyes. In my opinion, the bigger the better :D
9. I gently pat in my eye creams if I use them instead of rubbing it in. So its like a mini massage and also prevents from tugging.

Eyemakeup remover.

I use the cheap Almay Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover (A) which leaves an oily film even after rising.. so I finish it off with another cleanser. I wouldn't recommend it.. but it does its job. Dermalogica Soothing Eye Make Up Remover (B) is something I've tried that is amazinggg. It's on the expensive side though, but I got it in my eyes before... and it didn't hurt :D (Not thatI purposely try.) I currently use a Japanese facewash called Perfect Whip (C) for facial makeup removal. The Perfect Line (which is part of Shiseido) is amazing. All you need is a small drip/ goop, lather and it foams up for your whole face. I really want to try the Perfect Oil (D) from that line sometime... I think it will be a great remover. The only thing is that the Perfect Line dries my skin a lot after usage. I guess it also guarantees maximum makeup removal.

Eyecreams.

These are the two I use "interchangeably" in a fairly inconsistent- basis.   Honestly speaking, I'd say I use them maybe 1-2 times every 5 nights... Nevertheless I figure it's fine to start my habit slow but early... so I wouldn't start worrying when I hit middle age :P

1. 100% Pure Caffeine Eye Cream, Organic Coffee Bean:
Ingredients:

• Green and White Tea (Organic), Black Currant (Ribes Nigrum) Fruit Oil, Green Coffee (Organic), Vitamin E (A Tocopherol), Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Palmitate), Chamomilla and Lavender Wax, Pure Vanilla Absolute, Extracts of, Rosemary (Organic), Oregano (Organic), Thyme (Thymus Vulgaris) (Organic), Grapefruit Seed (Organic), Goldenseal (Organic)

What It claims: (taken from website)

• "Anti-inflammatory, caffeine rich green tea and coffee de-puffs and reduces swelling while increasing circulation to alleviate and brighten dark circles. Concentrated with potent anti-aging vitamins, antioxidants, and nourishing blackcurrant oil. For anyone looking to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness."

What I think:

• This one had pretty good reviews on MUA.  I'd say the perks are the deliciously coffee scent and the 100% organic ingredients.  I don't exactly know if this is due to the organic consistancies, but I noticed the cream is EXTREMELY hard to spread around the eyes... can't really do it without minimal tugging.... which isn't the best thing you want. They say the caffeine is supposed to help with dark circles... I didn't really see any drastic effect... it's not too expensive, smells good.. and slightly moisturizes.  I bought one for my mother and grandma. I think they just use it because it smells good. Hrmm... I'd say it's not THAT useful.  3/5

2. The Body Shop Aloe Very Eye Defense.
Ingredients:

• Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Water, Cyclomethicone, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Pentylene Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Betaine, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Panthenol, Glycerin, Myristamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Allantoin, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, p-Anisic Acid, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Bisabolol, Sodium Hydroxide, Polygonum Fagopyrum (Buckwheat) Seed Extract, Tocopherol, Avena Sativa (Oat) Bran Extract.

What it claims to do: (taken from website)

What I think:

• I'm such a "The Body Shop" freak now. and this one was actually a gift. I really like the consistency better then the Coffee Bean eyecream.. and it is definitely more moisturizing. As far as drastic effects... didn't really see any. But maybe in the future? 4/5

Dark Circles:
1. try to sleep enough
2. water water water (for dark circles)

Depuffing:
My best friend uses a teabag method for depuffing. After a long night of watching Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Dear John... this is a must.  I spy on her :P and I noticed she takes two sparingly "used" teabags... puts them in a clean ziplock, refrigerates them, then puts them over each eye like a compress after squeezing out the excess water. Be very careful not to get tea in the eyes though.  It seems to be very useful

Health of the Eye itself.
1. NEVER SLEEP WITH CONTACTS. even during naps. I think my eyes have endured a fair amount of strain over the past decade
2. Apply rewetting eyedrops to your hearts content but try to avoid the "Redness Relief" if possible. Basically, the redness relief can shrink the blood vessels in your eyes temporarily.. but if you do it too often, I've read that your eyes get use to it.. and the "redness relief" aspect looses  its functionality.... so bascially the blood vessels wont shrink anymore.

Eye-nergy
There's two pressure points at ur temples, near your eyes.. if i'm ever tired, I press and massage the area... it hurts like heck but wakes me up.

And with that said, I'll leave yall a random pic of dark circles versus no dark-circles. LOL. I really don't know if this was a helpful entry at all... but hopefully it gave some insight.  I think I'll do one on circle lenses next. lalalalala~~ Just bought a new batch recently :)

So in tune with the song title above *pun :P*, this entry will be a light reading as well... about my festive nails! I haven't "played" around with nailpolish for wayyy too long. Had an inspiration this morning to do a Christmas-y theme.. but after looking at my result.... I think I'll have to go with "Gryffindor". I don't own the right shade of dark green polish.... nor am I ever planning on buying it. Yes red and gold <3 (Harry potter wise... NOT SCHOOL wise) ;)

My left hand is basically a mirror image of my right hand.. with inverted colors.  Snappy?  Funny story, the door bell rang right after I finished, lo and behold my TARTE packaged had arrived! It was a task itself trying to open the door pick up the package without messing up the nailpolish design and looking like a dainty idiot :)

Tag: My Perfect Imperfections

Jukebox: Breathe- Telepopmusik

There's a video tag going around in the youtube beauty community called "My Perfect Imperfections" and it's basically about listing three things you like and three things you dislike about yourself.  I thought it was quite interesting.. seeing all these gorgeous beauty gurus, all who seemed extremely "perfect" talk about their imperfections one by one. We all have our quirks and loves.... so honestly, sometimes by just sharing them, we realize how everyone is both insecure and confident in one way or another.  In the end, it all comes down to accepting your flaws both inside and out.  By mentally understanding that flaws are a part of  who you are and what makes yourself unique... you learn to love yourself more.

And with that said, since I haven't had a lot of time to fill up this blog, I figure why not do a text version of the tag?   I added an extra category down about the parts where we are iffy about also like.. or have grown to like. 

My Imperfections

1. My Skin. I AM SO ACNE PRONE ITS SCARY. I can't really attribute it to genetics because everyone in my family has clear skin... but I break out so easily from stress, food, hormones, everything..... that it really is a constant irk. And honestly, I'm not the type of person to be quiet about my tribulations with breaking out either... My poor friends, they all hear my yodeling about it.  anyway, it's super annoying still with hyper pigmentation and the shebang. For one... as a person who doesn't put too much though about what I eat,  working-out, or hair maintenance, I AM extremely (excuse the word) anal about what I put on my skin (despite the mediocre outcome).... And I honestly feel that if I hadn't been so tentative with my skin... I would have been left with even worse scars.  Good thing this year my face has calmed down... but ya. I often ffeel like it is a hopeless cause...

2. My eyesight is so bad ... I wish I could wake up one day without glasses and be able to see.. either that or at least be able to read a book without glasses without needed to place it 2 inches away from my eyes.

3. Sometimes I feel like my nose is so close to my mouth that I look like Bert from sesame street. hahhaha!!

Those imperfections that you learn to love.... but still sometimes dislike :P

1. I use to think my lips were extremely fat... but I think I got use to it or something. They don't bother me anymore. LOL

2. I like how I don't really need to pluck my eyebrows because they are already naturally straight... but they are sort of short.

3. I like the shape of my nose... however, I always thought it was on the bigger side.... thanks dad -___-

Wow.. how demoralizing... my entry came out unexpectedly as in inverted pyramid -___-  haha goes to show I still have a lot to work on in terms of accepting myself for who I am. But I guess this is a step towards doing so.

Alrighty... this wasn't actually the beauty entry I was planning on writing.. but it was shorter and hopefully will suffice for a bit. I shall begin tackling my apps again. Le sigh..

1. I have huuugee headache :[ so I feel really crappy right now because I looked forward all day to playing L4D2 with my friend tonight... but now I'm wayyy too exhausted.

Shoe bondanza

I will never be able to escape from the money-sucking wrath of westwood. My two recent guilty-purchases were all done there.  Last week, I went and bought an unnecessarily amount of underwear from VS.  And this time, I got some shoes.  Drove to Westwood again two days ago.. and I knew I was on a tight schedule so I forced myself to finish my necessary tasks first.... then I was debating on calling up some friends.... or.... shopping. Looked at my watch, had 30 minutes to spare before my free parking jumped the meter... "ahhh" hard decision, but I decided to I'd take that time to go shoe shoppin'!I don't think I've ever left  Top Shoes empty handed. They are like a little gem in Westwood with the best shoe deals for money-stricken college students... or I guess, newly grads, in my case.  Anyway, these are are my official new pumps for winter 2010-2011! I was debating between a dressy strappy pair or this, but in the end the leather and the zipper design stole my heart (and feet). As my friend humorously describes "It's like ooo a zipper, and then psychs you out when you realize it's the whole darn thing."  hahhahaa. my friends never cease to amaze me!    Too bad it is slightly too big for my feet. boo. Anyone know how to shrink shoes? lol. Nevertheless I hope I wear these well throughout the next few months.  However a sad news is.. that watch I was wearing 3 posts down? I lost it! Somewhere at UCLA :(((

My fleeting junk food-free diet seems to have ended without my knowing. Just last night I cleaned all this out of my purse.... an accumulation of two days worth of candy-on-the-go. Dammit 3-Musketeers mint. You are the best candy I've had in a looong time.  I don't know if I should be amused or what. In other news... I've been loving the vinyl looking leggings I bought from Taiwan last winter. Been sporting them almost every few days. Extremely comfortable..and it doesnt make me feel like im wearing no pants either as regular leggings would. haha. One more accessories tadbit.... so after being in a "XL Watch phase" for almost a whole year, I've recently been into slimmer accessories. Adore this watch. Hopefully this phase will last.

OMG. this bag is beautifullll and it has feet! I've always been a sucker for bags with feet because I have this peeve against putting bags on ground. I think its so unsanitary. Then, it has an adjustable strap so I can hold it like a Speedy or shoulder bag... AND best of all, it has a full body zipper and is spacious enough (the GM version)  so I can stash documents but not worry about items falling out like the Neverfull GM. 

Now I just need to earn enough to buy it. puahaha

mmmmmmmmm.... currently eating beef tofu and rice.  This is something i CANNOT live without and is one of my all time favorites.  So, I can't stand wearing jeans lately... and since I can't fit any of my jazz pants anymore... the only other more "formal" alternatives I have for going out  are shorts and skirts (not too suitable for the fall), and leggings.

I know plenty of people that can wear leggings just fine... with a t-shirt. but SERIOUSLY... whenever I do that, I just feel like my outfit is screaming "HELLO EVERYONE I'M WEARING NO PANTS" yaa..  I don't know.. maybe it's because the fabric is thinner... because even though it doesn't necessarily look that way, I definitely feel extremely self conscious. haha.... and it doesn't help if the free VS underwear you happened to wear that day was bright pink too... lolol  annnnyywayy so, I've found a good alternative... which I'm sure was already common everywhere else, but new to me.

Anyway, the picture basically explains what I've been sporting every fricking single day now for work, class, whatever. The BEST part is.... it's so comfy I can wear it to sleep. thank goodness I own multiple leggings and skirts.

Speaking of outfits... I've been putting my Pierre Dumas to good use as well =)

Three girly things.

1. It just occurred to me, that I have the most random things on my desk.. including (but not limited to) a gallon of apple juice, my ipouch, spoon, nailpolish, clutch ... egg?!!?

2. It's not the holiday yet but I've been sporting "Holiday Glow" by OPI.  The color is OK. Takes too many coats to become a solid.  and I havn't been really into darks yet. My mood is still summer-esque.  Here is probably a pic from day 4. Already smudging away at the edges... but then I don't have a topcoat on. I NEED TO VISIT AMY bahh...

3. The strap from my "staple" watch broke yesterday! So sadddd.. I wear this watch like 5 days a week at least.  I am well aware that the faceplate is basically the size of my wrist.. but ever since I saw an ad with AngelaBaby wearing a huge faced watch  I vowed I wanted one because the style really appealed to me... LOL. Hrmmm.. I wonder if I can buy replacement straps.

REVIEW: BioNeo Cellular Intensive Facial Mask

but i'm so tired.... shall elaborate some other time.  As for now I just want to say, don't use the BioNeo Cellular Intensive  Face Mask. At least for me, it was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too rich for my skin. I got it about six months ago in Taiwan along with their lotion gel which I actually found extremely moisturizing yet noncomedogenic.... hence why I was willing to splurge 3 for $16 for this little thing.  That was when I figure this mask might do the same thing... but better.  HAHHAHA... no.  I woke up with like more then three extra spots and a very bad mood.  It smelled like old-lady perfume which I suspect induced my insomnia for the night (ok, maybe it wasn't that bad, but I have a tendency to like to leave masks on overnight... like overnight treatment ya? and the smell was unbearable) And it left this really sticky feeling film all over which just made you feel greasy and gross.  Even two days later, I felt like my skin was oilier just due to this one overnight treatment. Had to calm it down with Tea Tree Oil.  Ho-hum.  Pros were the function-ability ?!  The mask came in two different parts, one for the forehead and cheeks and one for the chin and jaw. So I guess if you want to eat and talk as you pamper your face, this mask won't obstruct.  Ok. nothing really else I want to say.

I have so much to do these next five  months it is kind of insane :P Wrote them all down and it took one whole page.... times new roman, font 12. NO double spacing.  BLAH I cannot wait until this time one year later. If by then I have completed and everything on my list I will seriously reward myself with a big fat  pat on the back.

So, it was finally time to say R.I.P to my pink mouse.  It was a good 3 years, withstood many gina drops, and outlived a laptop. So sad. I think it probably would have lasted longer if I didn't accidentally bang it against the wall when I grabbed the mouse by just the cord.  I really liked the cord wrap around button function... so useful, and wouldn't get tangled in my purse. Boo.

So I was determined to find a cute computer mouse online since they last pretty long anyway.  I don't understand why there are Hello Kitty ones but no Totoro ones. Wouldn't it be the cutest thing if they made like the mouse a totoro body? It's around the same shape too. Anyway, I found a lot of totoro mouse PADS instead. Look how cute these are: 

heheeeee... These would be a cute addition to my ever growing totoro collection. Too bad I think mouse pads are an annoying waste of space.

In other news, I REALLY think I tanned because after laquering up on a shiny green gloss today, I noticed that my hands looked a very unpleasant neon.  Whyyyy... Didn't really like this polish anyway.

COLOR: Silky Bamboo (silky sheen)
SMELL: OK. (aka not good)
COATS:  2 Coats probably needed. honestly, the consistancy is kind of streaky no matter how good your painting skills are. Drys semi-slow.
LASTING POWER:  without top coat about 2 weeks... semi chipping by then. I guess the lasting power is not THAT bad then.
FINAL RATING: 3/5  ehhh..
